Gluten Free Chocolate Cake

This gluten free chocolate cake recipe is a very simple (and delicious) chocolate cake that can be made for anyone who can’t eat gluten. We hope you enjoy! x

Ingredients

  • 120g dark chocolate
  • 120g butter
  • 150g caster sugar
  • 80g cocoa powder
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 150C/300F/Gas 2. Grease an 20cm round cake tin, and dust with cocoa powder.
  2. In the top of a double boiler over lightly simmering water, melt together the chocolate and butter. Remove from the heat, and stir in sugar, cocoa powder, eggs and vanilla. Pour into prepared cake tin.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes. Once baked, let cool in tin for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and allow cool completely.
